Why does the flashlight activate automatically

Phone model: Motorola Droid XT1254

The flashlight on this device is switching itself on while I am bicycling. I carry it in the bag attached under the seat. After riding for awhile on a local trail that does have some bumpy pavement in some areas, I stop to check for text msgs or missed calls. Frequently when I open the bag the flashlight is switched ON and I have to manually switch it OFF. Any ideas why this is happening? How can I disable this feature?

Welcome to the forums. Try this. Open the app drawer, select Moto app, tap on the three dots/stars top right, select Moto Actions and make sure that any action for the flashlight is off. Tell us how it goes.
