Why does the internet connection on my Grand Prime work for a while then go offline?

I use T-Mobile on my Galaxy Grand Prime. The internet connection keeps going off and on. Everything else on the phone works. Is there anything I can do to the phone to fix it? I haven't done a reset yet but plan to go to the T-Mobile store Saturday.
