I got the x play about a week ago I had to go back the next day because of heating issues and they gave me a new one and this one does the same is it normal on the x play

Welcome to Android Central! Check your Settings>Battery menu--is there anything that's using an inordinate amount of battery?
Also, try booting into Safe Mode, which disables all 3rd party apps.
