Why does the WiFi on my ZTE Z983 continually disconnect by itself?

Recently purchased a ZTE Z983 secondhand, and the WiFi has started to just disconnect by itself. I'll reconnect and go back to what I'm doing and in a matter of a minute or two it will disconnect again. This happens every time i try to use the WiFi. I went ahead and did a factory reset and that worked for a period of a few hours but then it begins again. Please help.

Does this only happen on your home wi-fi, or on any wi-fi network?

Any and every network I've tried.

Bluetooth can sometimes interfere with 2.4 GHz wi-fi, so if it's on, try turning it off.
