Why does video shot vertically on my phone, play horizontally on tv ?

I have a Huawei P Smart. When I transfer videos to memory stick and then play it on my tv, it plays horizontally, as if it was flipped 90 degrees.
 
Welcome to Android Central! Is Auto-Rotate turned off on the phone?
