Why does voice to text in Messages not work on my Android S8+?

It might be a new option from a recent update. Go to the Messaging app's settings, go to More Options, and see if there's an option there about Audio Messages.

Also, is this a Verizon phone? Are you using the Samsung messaging app, or the Verizon one? www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-222803/

That's just a voice memo in stock message app , the keyboard text to speech is in my screen shot...it's 2 different things
