AC Question

Samsung S5 . Tried 2 different routers, 3 different BT speakers (Plantronics headset, Blue Orb and Renny Classic). Symptom: When using BT, Wi-Fi network drops out about every 3 minutes for about 90 seconds. Before BT connection, SpeedTest shows speeds 17 to 38 Mbit/second depending on router. After BT speaker connection, SpeedTest shows as low as 0.07 (during the 90 seconds of drop-out). Fails same when sending music to BT device, or when using BT to talk on the phone.

Isolated it to S5, when using BT, and accessing Wi-Fi.

Does NOT happen when using LTE, does NOT happen with my older S3, does NOT happen when using S5's speaker (no BT).

Mod Note, I will move this to the s5 forum for more visibility

Additional information:

Wi-Fi drops out when using Bluetooth as noted in original post. This is 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. When connected to 5GHz Wi-FI, there are no issues with Wi-Fi. (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth share the 2.4GHz spectrum, the radios are designed to co-exist.)

Also, I tried another's Galaxy S5, and it works fine with Bluetooth connected and using a 2.4GHz connection to Wi-Fi.

So, there appears to be a problem with my specific unit. It is either in the hardware (phone is 15 months old, so may be out of warranty?), or a setting somewhere that is messed up. If anyone has any settings that I should check, please let me know.
