Why Doesn't bluetooth mic works on calls?

[Android Central Question]

When I make phone calls, using any kind of bluetooth device, I am never heard by the other side as if I am muted. This does not happen when i make calls using any other app, for example the whatsapp app.

Once again, this happens with EVERY bluetooth device.

i figured the problem must be with google's Calls app but i have reinstalled it and the problem does not go away.

any clue?

Which device?
Try clearing data and force stop the phone app

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by "google's Calls app"? Are these standard voice calls using your Phone app? Or are you talking about some other kind of VoIP call?
