Why doesn't my alarm go off?

Alarm still doesn't go off

Hi everyone,

I am new to forums and all so i am not sure am i posting in the right forum, but i decided to give it a try.

So as you can see from the title I am having problems with my alarm. And i am not sure is it android 5.0 problem or LG G3 problem.

I am NOT using silent mode. I am in the priority mode always. I am using android 5.0 and Kernel 3.4.0, software version: V20h-242-01 (Not sure if anyone needs this info )

It just doesn't go off. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it goes off and then when i press snooze it doesn't go off anymore, but i can see, when I eventually wake up , that i still have the option to dismiss it. So it is not accidentally turned off. And it is starting to get on my nerves a little. And i tried other apps and still same things happen. I just don't know what do anymore. If anyone knows some fix for this or can guide me to a forum page where someone knows how to fix this i would be very thankful.

Did you do a factory reset of your phone after the update to 5.0? The upgrade has caused a ton of issues and most of the time they are resolved after a reset. Make sure to back up all your data if you decide to go that way.

Google just updated their clock app.. Check updates in the Google Play store. It showed up in my to update but update choice was on the left this time

This makes sense. Do you have any other issues such as app / system crashes or instability?

Thanks ITGUJAX8430, LEEGREG81. Thanks guys for responses. I was thinking of not doing factory reset But if that is solution, I'll go with it. I have one question tho'. But wouldn't factory reset reset my phone to 4.4.2 (Kitkat) ? I don't know how it works, just asking I didn't have any major issues with other apps, from time to time i had small crashes or some small bugs or lags, but i think it is in some normal or minimum amount.

No, a factory reset only deletes apps and data and sets everything such that you have to completely setup the phone again.
It does now and will not roll back to an earlier Android version.
