why doesn't my data work on my droid turbo while I'm in a call¿?

I have a droid turbo and the data doesn't work while I'm in a call even though I have 4glte service

Well that's because Verizon SUCKS. No seriously it has to do with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) which means you can do both Voice and Data at the same time. Here is an article about it on AC VoLTE arrives on Droid Turbo in Advanced Calling update | Android Central and it came out in December. But, keep in mind your market may or may not have VoLTE available, its not a given.
