Why doesn't my HTC One M7 no longer do anything?

My HTC One M7 no longer does anything

I updated to the lollipop software or whatever it's called and my phone literally does nothing anymore it takes about a minute for it to respond to the home button being pressed, and I literally cant open a single app. I cant even get into settings whenever I hit anything on my phone, if my phone responds at all, i just get a black screen. What in the world is wrong with my phone?
