Why doesn't my s3 have call forwarding?

I see online that S3 should have that option but it is not in my call settings menu. My android version is 4.1.2

Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier do you have? Call forwarding may differ with the carrier. On AT&T, it's in Call Settings. On Sprint, you have to dial *72: http://support.sprint.com/global/pdf/user_guides/samsung/galaxy_s/samsung_galaxy_s_ug.pdf, see page 29.
