Why doesn't new lollipop versions show missed calls?

[AC Question]

New lollipop update on Samsung Galaxy 4 does not show notification of missed calls on home-screen. This was a great feature. Now you have to check voice mail to see if you missed calls. Any solution that is known please let me know

Hi Gregory,
I just bought the MotoX and have the same problem w/ missed calls and messages not showing up (on the icons) on the home screen.
I tried the solution which worked for so many others, but found no "BadgeProvider" among my apps to clear. Any suggestions?

ps. I do however, have an app called "device management" w/ "Cache" under that and an opportunity to clear it. Just not sure if it's what i want....

Thank you Gregory Iv'e done what you suggested for the missed calls and it's now OK
. Now can you tell me why my messages do not show up on the message icon on the home screen?

Welcome to the forums! Do you mean the number of missed calls on your phone icon at the bottom of the home screen?

Do you see the number of unread text messages on the text icon on the home screen?

And the number of unread messages of whatsapp,hike,telegram etc...does not showing above the icons

After updating to Nougat on Samsung s7 edge i dont get missed calls notifikations at all.

No badge count, nothing in topscreen, nothing in EDGE.

It this a bug or ?????
