Why don't I get any notification of emails to threads I am subscribed to?

I have my notifications turned on but I don't get any emails that I have a response or someone else has responded to a thread I am subscribed to. Any answers? Thanks in Advance for any help!

If you're on the full desktop site, click the gear icon at the upper right, then General Settings. In the Default Thread Subscription Mode, make sure it's set to Instantly Using Email, Push.

This is my default across MoNa, and I'm in the same boat as the OP. Notification emails are instant, but they seem to bet more of a reminder that I'm subscribed - I'll see one notification, go to the thread, and need to go back hours or even a day to catch up. In some cases there will be five or more posts past the one that generated the email. I used to have around 200 daily emails from CB and AC, now I get maybe 15.

Also - even though I have that set up as my default, every thread I subscribe to without posting now asks me how I want notifications, like it isn't aware of the user settings.
