no "list view" option in the samsung phone app's favorties

I recently upgraded for my S3 to the a S6 Edge. on my phone contact favourites list, the view is show in grid mode. there is no option to change it to list mode. is my phone defective or is this normal. I was able to do this on my S3 phone. Thanks in advanced.
