Why Edge panel on Note 20 Ultra hides automatically when switching applications?

[Android Central Question]

After closing an active app (e.g. Messenger) and proceeding to open another app through the Edge panel, the panel hides automatically before I am able to click on the new app I want to open, so I have to drag the panel back out. Normally, the Edge panel will remain open until an app is chose, or I tap somewhere off it. Anyone knows a fix for that?

I would say try safe mode but that turns off 3rd party apps but sometimes going in and out can fix glitches like this

So it was ok in safe mode ? How long were you in it?

It kept happening in SafeMode too. And only entered it to test it and returned to NormalMode after.

Might want try clear cache in recovery or factory reset

What if you lock the panel ?

The handle is locked in position. But it's the actual panel that hides after about 2 sec after exiting an app. If I drag it out from the Home screen it remains on the display.

If i tap a app in edge panel it exits me out and into the app , if i drag it to home screen i can have a small window or into that app but still exit from edge panel looks like that way is normal.

Right, that is normal behavior, works the same way on my side. But the issue here is that if I drag it out and don't tap any apps, the edge panel remains open on the screen, but if I drag it out just after exiting an app, then it hides automatically.

Yeah mine closes after tapping each app , possible a bug on yours.

Tested on my A32 5G, I don't get that either. Do you have a screen protector on?
