Pls can someone help me with solution to emui 9 still letting apps access the internet despite turning off data for the said apps in settings?

Why? Any solution pls?

Thanks

I found this... it's not specific to EMUI but I wouldn't think it would need to be unless Huawei is doing something different than everyone else.

You don't say what device you have, but have you checked the forum section to see if there is one specific to your device? People there would have your device and may be of more help and experience since they would also have the same device.

To have your thread moved, just post a comment asking a moderator to move this to a forum for your device. Post the name of the device in the comment.

Hi, thanks for the link. I saw that link when searching for solution on the net before deciding to post here.

My device is Y9 Prime, no section for it in the Huawei section reason I posted it here.

Yes, Huawei is doing a lot of annoying things different than everyone else. It is sickening.

Hope I get more solutions. Thanks

So the next question would be, if you followed the directions in that link the apps in question shouldn't have any internet permissions checked. You're finding that they still have access. Have these permissions changed or do they still show no access?

If you don't want to reveal which apps you're blocking we would understand however revealing which ones they are, the type of app or just one as an example might help determine where the breakdown is and why they are still able to gain access.
