Why even deleted sms still showing history

I had deleted a SMS conversation but when I go to contacts ( call log - recent) and select info button, under that you can still see the entire deleted SMS which was sent and received?

Is this a bug ? How can I permanently clear that history??

Device is s9 on android 9.
