Why even release the Note 9 why not just skip it??

C'mon Samsung, convince me why i shouldn't turn to the iPhone. I have zero reasons not to at this point.

My question is more so... What does iPhone have that you want that Samsung doesn't?

I watch the new iPhone releases very casually just to see what they have. I'll never go to the dark side, regardless of what the iPhone can do. It's all about the eco system. A feature on a phone will never make me switch to iOS.

Yep, I've decided to remain patient and wait for the Note 10. The s10 rumors appear to be amazing and to be everything i wanted THIS phone to be. I think my patience will pay off. Just one more year of waiting and saving on my bill since I'm no longer paying for my Note 5.
S10 rumours WTF🤣give me a break.....

In my case I prefer the 16:9 screen ratio of thre iPhone 8+ and the flat screen. The new ones coming out with narrow screen offer me nothing. Really hate the. new screen ratios.

I guess you'd really hate the newer LG G7 (or whatever it's called). They have a 19.5:9 ratio I believe.

IMO it's really just being able to advertise a sort of bigger screen than not actually. For example the 5.8 inch S9 doesn't feel very much different from a 5-5.3 inch phone. I expect the 6.2 inch S9+ to feel much like a 5.5-5.7 inch phone. Basically, When you get a 18:9 phone, just look at screen size and expect to get the experience of a 16:9 phone with about 0.5 to 0.8 inch less screen size.

I agree completely. Some people are delighted to be duped by the latest overpriced fad no matter what it is.

Everything i see about this phone is that it's a BARELY better phone than the S9 and hardly an upgrade from the Note 8. Why don't they just scrap it and focus on the 10?? The 10 is supposed to give us everything we want in THIS phone so why waste everybody's time on this? I'm so frustrated as i sit and wait to upgrade my Note 5. Like what exactly?

One rumor is it will fold. Another that fingerprint sensor on the screen
A foldable phone will be dope. But an in-display fingerprint is not going to change the game at all.

It's just another way to unlock the phone. And to be honest, I actually prefer it on the back because that means I don't have to get fingerprints all over my screen that's already littered with smudges.

Also, the iris scanner works very well for me. I use it all the time.

An in-display fingerprint scanner is by far the most overhyped feature of 2018.

I've skipped the 7,8, and will the 9. The 5 is still an amazing phone.

My wife still has her Note 5. Unfortunately there's a lot of screen burn in. It doesn't bother her but it would drive me nuts.

Why release it? Two reasons to start... 1) Samsung wants additional revenue and profits and 2) Phone jumpers need a reason for a new phone. 😉

If Samsung stopped creating and releasing phones then I'm pretty sure some would day they've gone stale and lost innovation.

Many skip model iterations for a multitude of personal reasons.

I'm using the s8 right now and skipped the Note 8 and s9 s9+ so the Note 9 for my wants and needs I'm hoping will be right to buy it.
