Why has my active application stopped showing on my home screen?

My active app has stopped showing on my home screen when I have open apps. Any ideas how to fix it?

What do you mean by active app? Is it an app or widget that shows you which apps are open?

Is it no longer available in your list of widgets? Did you get a recent system update? It might have been eliminated.

It's on my home screen, just not changing to show any number that's active. When there are some open.

I did reboot it and now it seems to be working.
