Why has my camera suddenly changed for worse on Alpha?

[AC Question]

Camera is slooooow (I miss every shot I want), goes to preview shot after every shot so I can't take two pictures in a row, and has annoying grid lines. This just happened about a month ago, camera was fine before that. Frankly, I'd be better off with a disposable camera from Kodak at the moment. Help? What am I missing? Someone mentioned removing grid using wrench icon, but I don't have one of those. I've played with all the songs and I just can't figure out why the camera is so slow and takes blurry, bad shots of everything now when it was fine before.
