Why has my phone gone crazy since my HTC One Remix got a software update?

HTC One Remix software updated. Now Google Play Store won't connect. It keeps showing that it is trying. I turned phone off and on and performed a hard reset. Still won't connect. When I try to download my audiobooks from audiobookbay as soon as I click on the download it disappears instead of loading into my Atorrent software. If I go to Google Play via Chrome I can download apps, just nothing thru the play store. Any help would be appreciated. I have to gps track my fleet of construction trucks via an app from Play Store and I'm getting worried!

Sounds like a Factory Reset Should Fix This.
