Hi and welcome to Android Central.

What email app are you using? Have you tried to log in from a PC or through your mobile browser? They could just not be showing on your device but are still on the actual servers.

What type of email account do you have? Is it Gmail, outlook.com, Exchange, some other IMAP or POP3 account?

I'm having the same issue. All of a sudden my emails get deleted as soon as I open them in the default email app that came with the phone. Very ironic as I used to complain that there was no way to group delete the emails I was getting. Had to delete one at a time. Guess it's time to check out another email app for Android. BTW, I POP my email from cox.net servers, never changed any of the setting on the phone's email app. Just started by itself.
And my home computer is having no issues when I POP the cox.net email servers, and they are setup to keep downloaded email for 10 days on the sever before deleting them.
