Why has phone stopped receiving messages on LG g6?

Only had it about a month and messages were being received up until a week ago. I have tried to fix by going into settings to no avail.

Welcome to Android Central! You're talking about SMS messages, right? Can you send text messages? Any problems with making or receiving calls? Have you asked your carrier about this?
