Why has the drop down settings display increased in size?

[Android Central Question]

I have the Huawei P30 pro and I updated to EMUI 9.1.0.

Since updating, the pull down menu is massive. In the settings, my text and display size is set to the smallest. Resolution is set to smart res, which it has always been (at least I think so).

Any way to make it smaller?!
