Why have my contacts stop working after editing?

Contacts stop working after editing.

Every time I edit a contact that has whatsapp and press save, my contacts app stops working, only with those contacts linked to whatsapp, normal contacts with no whatsapp doesn't make this happen. Running android 4.4.2 kitkat on my GS4 from AT&T unlocked and currently running on MetroPCS.

I already tried clearing cache partitions, disabling google+, clearing contact's data and cache, and also did a factory reset, no use.

Any help appreciated.

Found the problem, is a What's App bug. I downloaded a What's App APK from June 27 which still works, and the problem is gone. Maybe the new updates what's app has been releasing have made that little bug mess it up, hope what's app fixes this soon, meanwhile I am using my June 27 version What's App, pretty much the same thing still.
