Why have that huge press release party for X?

They were pushing froyo aand flash at that release conference like it was going to drop soon. They should have never had adobe at the press release unless the phone was coming out with it then. Should have saved that for original oor droid 2.

It's all about the hype up marketing machine. Let's push this phone like a 2.2 phone so people get hyped up, buy it asap, then sneakily we release the Droid 2 a month later, with one of its key features being 2.2 making it worthy of a purchase, and get MORE sales while people look down on the X for still being stuck on 2.1. Give it some time after D2 sales spike from having Froyo, then let's release Froyo for the X because who cares about that phone anymore. Flagship my ***.

Phil can i ask you a question about 2.2 ? I have a X rooted , downloaded ROM manager used it to update to 2.2 , and then put FlyX with onix black bar on it . Will i have to revert back to original using a .604 sbf? or just reboot into clockwork mod recovery and Restore from there to get 2.2 Froyo from verizon sent to my phone? Or is what im using the exact same as what verizon is sending out tomorrow at 12 Est.

Go into your about phone and see what version it sais you have. I have 2.2 on my "x" and what they are advertising on Big Red's website is a newer version than what I have
