Why I am unable to increase brightness on always on display on my galaxy a6 plus, what should I do?

I have been trying for a long time but I have failed. I would like ro know on how I can be able to increase the brightness on the always on display on my samsung galaxy a 6 plus

If you go to settings>lock screen>tap AOD>turn auto brightness off to manually control on AOD
