Android Central Question

After selecting "Recovery mode" the google logo starts flashing in an infinite loop.
I tried to enter all modes, but only two of them are working -"power off" and "barcodes". Is there a way to fix my phone? :(

Reflash the firmware. Depending on the phone, you may be able to boot boot.img and get into the phone to back everything up, or you might even be able to flash the firmware without wiping the phone. Tell us which make and model phone you have. (And please register an account here so that you can answer in this conversation. Guests can't post to existing conversations.)

I don't remember if you can boot the boot.img file if you haven't unlocked the bootloader, but you can try it. Boot into the bootloader (Volume Down + Power until you see the bootloader then release the Power button first, then the Volume button).

fastboot devices
to make sure that the computer sees the phone.

fastboot boot boot.img
(which you extract from the file you download from Google | Factory Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices.

If that works, you'll be back in Android and you can back everything up, then unlock the bootloader, go back to the boot loader and

fastboot flash boot boot.img

Or use the full flash-all.bat (or flash-all.sh if you're running Linux or MacOS).

I'd keep that hair dryer thing as a last resort. A few degrees too hot and you're right - there won't be a phone to work on.

platform-tools ts$ ./fastboot devices
ENU7N15B10001075 fastboot
platform-tools ts$ ./fastboot flashing unlock
FAILED (remote: 'oem unlock is not allowed')
Downloading 'boot.img' OKAY [ 0.103s]
As I understood I can't boot the cause I didn't unlock it. :(
I don't believe that there is no way to fix it without using a hair dryer. :((((
