Why is 1gb of ram reserved on s9+

On every other galaxy phone it's 500mb that is reserved from the s7 to note 9

In the past, that was always reserved for the video card so maybe it's increased on the latest phones.

My US unlocked T-Mobile S9+ (Oreo 8.0) has 1.1gb reserved.

My Husband has an US unlocked T-Mobile S9 (Oreo 8.0) which has 825mb reserved.

I agree that it's for video, must be carrier choice.

My wifi only Tab S3 went from 704mgs to 376mgs reserved memory on the October patch.
The performance has dropped significantly.
