Why is a transparent picture stuck in the background of my Galaxy s5?

I have the galaxy s5 and ive noticed that in the background of my phone, no matter what apps i use, there is a transparent image of my keyboard and the facebook search bar "stuck" in the background of my phone. Ive tried restarting my device with the power button and taking out the battery and i couldnt find anything online that helped me with this problem. its incredibly frustrating. please help!!
