Why is Android System draining my S7's battery?

Today Android System drained 46% of my battery. I have high belief that the "Battery Saver" app and "Device Booster" appear were a primary reason for this. Am I correct in assuming so?

1. For the past few major Android versions, "Android System" has been much of the operating system of the phone, so most of what happens "charges" its battery use to Android System.

2. Battery saver apps and device booster apps normally do the opposite of what they claim - they waste battery and slow the phone down. (Many of them just arbitrarily kill files that haven't been accessed in a while. If Android wants that file open, it immediately reloads it. The "saver app" immediately closes it. Android immediately opens it. Say goodbye to both battery life and performance. Android handles files well - allow it to.)
