Why Is 'Google App' sending me dual notifications?

I've used my LG G3 phone for at least a year or two and it's been working great. However, recently it's been displaying double Google App notifications for reminders and the like. I tried restarting and uninstalling but the problem persists. I know i don't have two alarms set up or anything. Any ideas?
