Why is half my SD card already used when I format it as internal?

I just formatted my 256GB micro SD card as internal storage onto my Razer Phone. But about 113GB out of the 256GB of the storage is already being used by the "System." Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks.

The phone moved Linux and Android to the SD card. you have no control over what goes where, physically, all you have is "storage".,
