why is htc 10's video quality on google's new app Duo is horrible?

I've installed the new google Duo on three of device, 2 nexus and an HTC 10. The video quality on the nexus devices were amazingly awesome. Unfortunately, that's not the case with htc 10. The video quality was a disaster although all devices were on the same WiFi network. Anyone with a similar issue?

I just installed Duo and had a call with my brother who has a Samsung S7 Edge. Video quality was on both sides very good. My HTC had no issues whatsoever.

Have Duo on my HTC 10. Video is very good. Depends on your connection.

Same issue here on my HTC 10. Been trying to find an issue online stumbled upon this forum. I have issues with duo on Wi-Fi and other devices work well. Even my HTC 10 Skype is better than duo, no issues with LTE. Is this a software issue or defective phones?

my video quality looks good on my 10 it's the connection issue I suffer from that bothers me... I have to continuously switch between wifi and mobile during a call... it's annoying
