Pantaloons, as they were originally known—consisted of two separate items, one for each leg. They were put on one at a time and then secured around the waist.
What this has to do with Android, I don't know.

I moved this to the Android Central Lounge, because that's the only place I can think of where bad standup comedy can go.:p

"What ... is the deal ... with that?"

It's only a "PARE" of pants when you're talking of a trimming of them. Otherwise it's a PAIR of pants...

The paring of pairs of pants. If, afterwards, you wanted to give two pairs to each person, you could pair them; that is, you could pair the pared pairs. If you got it wrong, you could re-pair them: that is, you could re-pair the badly-paired pared pairs. If the pants had been repaired before paring, you would be re-pairing badly-paired pared repaired pairs.

What if you have a spare pair of pared pear-shaped pants with a pear pattern? How much wood would a woodchuck chuck in that case?
