Why is it taking a extremely long time to send a picture via text?

Tried to send a picture through texting and it is taking an extremely long time to send it. Extremely long time meaning over a few hours.

I could be down to your signal strength or the file size. Try using an alternative app like Whatsapp or sending it via email.
