Why is it that my fingers dont work on my Galaxy Note 8 but my pen does?

It started yesterday that the screen wasnt reacting to my fingers, but it works with the pen. I thought it was the protective screen that was causing the problem, but it is not.

Sounds like the screen digitizer failed, it might be software related, you could try booting into safe mode.

The S Pen uses different technology and has its own layer within the screen to interact with, that's why it would still work while the regular touch input has failed.

Try Samsung diagnostics tool in device care or Samsung members app also try safe mode and let us know
