Android Central Question

At home I have a dual-band modem internet which my Tab S4 can connect both bands, but recently I encountered problem wherein I can no longer connect with 5GHz band and only connect with 2.4GHz. The 5GHz band is rarely seen in the selection, sometimes it appears, but most of the time don't. How do I fix this problem? Appreciate your reply, THANK YOU VERY MUCH...

Welcome to Android Central! Does your router support 802.11ac? How are you seeing that it's connected to 2.4 GHz -- are you seeing that in the wi-fi network details (in Settings>Wi-fi)?

That "sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't" sounds like one of the radios - either the one in the router, or the one in the tab, is intermittent.

Unless you're trying to connect with 5GHz over a long distance, or through more than about 2 walls. 5GHz has a much shorter range.
