Why is my phone not properly connect to wifi

I've had this problem for a couple of days, at my own house it will sometimes disconnect from the WiFi and then reconnect, this has been occurring a lot more recently, it can be quite infuriating especially if it is disconnected for a prolonged amount of time.
I went to someone's house today and my phone will connect briefly and then disconnect shortly after, if anyone has any solutions that would be great

Welcome to Android Central! Is your phone a 5G device? Do you also have your data toggled on when you are trying to connect to a WiFi network?
