Why is it that using any launcher makes app screen overlap with notification bar?

HELP!!!! - using any launcher makes app screen overlap with notification bar...

Hello Guyz I am using Micromax Canvas A120 Colours
Android - 4.2.2

whenever i use any launcher like nova ,apex,go
it works fine first but as soon as i lock and open my screen
all apps like whatsapp,keep ... overlap with my notification bar
removing black dark notification bar
i have upgraded to android 4.4.2 , thinking it may solve the problem
but it still exists
so i again flashstock rom
but this problem is still there
i want to use these launchers , but this overlapping situation makes my phone more worse

please help

Perhaps your notification bar is set to transparent....is there anything in your settings you could adjust?

my settings option are exactly same as all android 4.2.2 phones have
and this problem only comes when i use any launcher like nova , apex, go ,...,,
with stock launcher notification bar always remains black in colour
