why is my battery draining so fast and why is device locking up after recent update?

Not happy with recent update (5/27) to my Samsung Gallaxy 5S phone. Phone prevents access intermittently via my swipe code.. just zones out for several minutes. Runs MUCH SLOWER and USED batter MUST FASTER than before upgrade.
How can I uninstall upgrade?? I can do without the so called enhancements given the negatives i am experiencing. History on phone does not give name/number for upgrade, it took place on 5/27/16, Android version 6.0.1, kernel 3.4.0 (may 11), Build # MMB29M.G900VVRU2DPD1.

Hi, seeing as you have quite a few issues with the phone, I'd suggest a factory reset to wipe the phone clean, give it a fresh start. Before you do this though, make sure you back your data up as it'll be deleted.

Did the factory reset help with uninstalling the update? My brother has similar problem with his 5S
