Why is my battery draining so fast on my Moto E?

Huge Battery Drain on Moto E

The battery drain on my moto E is huge in the past few days. Android system is using about 40% and while in the standby mode the CPU is still awake....
I have wiped cache partition and apart from the RAM usage i found no improvement in battery drain. Its been about 4 months approx from the purchase date... So any help in this issue is deeply appreciable....

Welcome to Android Central! It would help to see some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

Wow, the awake bar is crazy. You must have some background processes running wild and keeping your phone awake all the time.

It's difficult to know which one from the stats. Maybe first thing could be checking in the play store that it doesn't update automatically. Set it to "do not auto-update".

Check the sync/upload settings in your apps and try to change the frequency. In some apps, like Google +, you can even select to sync just when charging.

In your screenshots there's this icon showing that something is being uploaded to the cloud. Check that app first.

Now that I pay attention. There are two different upload icons in your notifications bar.

Good points, Javier. Also, those screenshots show that you've already started charging, which can sometimes make the numbers a little confusing. Can you show them again, this time when the battery is down to around 20%, before charging?

But today i don't really see that much of a drain. Any way i will change the settings and see if there is any improvement. Thank you....

I think the battery drain is due to google play services, bcoz yesterday it has been updated and from then the drain has been reduced.

Battery draining problem is in all android phones not just moto e. Ill suggest to use DU speed booster. You can optimize and schedule it to airplane mode while sleeping at night.
