Why is my battery draining so fast?

Battery drains in strange way. Even with a new battery.

So i got a S3, and i noticed that the battery was draining too fast. So the first thing i did was change the battery for a new one (It's original from samsung).
But the problem persisted, then i tried to change the rom, istall apps, wiping the battery stats, and nothing helped. The strange part, is that the battery doens't drain in a constant way, it drains normal at first (like it has no problem) and sunddenly loses like 7% in less than five minutes, then it comes back to drain normally, and the cicle keeps.
I lived with this problem for three months now, and after researching some more, i think that the problem might be the baterry.
Perhaps tha battery came with a factory problem? or there's a chance that it's the phone? should i take a shot and buy a new battery (maybe a larger one)?

Welcome to the forums. When yo mentioned a new battery toward the beginning of your post, was that a new battery? How long ago was that?

The phone was a present, it was already old. So i tought that the battery was not working properly because of its age (2 years i guess). Then i bought a new one thinking that it would solve the problem, but it didnt. I kept using the phone anyway, i have this new battery for 3 months now. And i'm trying to solve the problem since i got the phone.

A different battery might fix it. Another question is how is your signal? A weak signal can kill a cell pretty quick.

My signal is most of the time stable. I will buy another battery than, i've already tried everything i could. Just one last question. Can this problem be something with the phone? like the cpu clock going crazy or something.

Possibly. I was thinking it was something hardware.
