AC Question

I recently got the s5 mini. The battery drains like crazy even if it's just sitting on my desk. It can go from 40% to 25% (while using it) in 1/2 hour. Or from 100% to 90% with no usage, just sitting on my desk.
I tried removing apps, I tried using power saving mode. Nothing helps.
I got an extra battery from the manufacturer thinking mine was a bad obe but the new one I got is even worse, it shuts off the phone at 20% after acting all strange and not responding to commands.
I just bought another battery and waiting to receive and see if it works any better.
Comparing my s5 mini battery life to my ipad, the Ipad has a much much better battery life, I would say it lasts easily double the time.
I really dont know what to do .... My battery drains literally in 5 hours, which is ridiculous.
Help?
Thx

Thanks

BTW it's only 11am, had full battery at 8.30 am. It's down to 63%.
Barely used the phone today, just checked my emails and searched 2 things on the browser.

NOTE:*if you're planning on applying a master reset on your smartphone in order to fix certain issues, then you may want to try and clear the phone's cache partition first. This is because cleaning the cache will not result in the deletion of personal data.*

Power off your smartphone

Press and hold "Volume Up", "Home" and "Power" at the same timeOnce the phone vibrates once, release the "Power" key but keep pressing the "Home" and "Volume Up" button

When the "Android System Recovery" screen appears, release all hardware keys

From the Recovery menu, press "Volume down" to navigate to and highlight "wipe cache partition"

Press "Power" to select the option

Once the partition has been wiped, the "Reboot system now" message will be highlighted

Press "Power" to reboot your smartphone in normal mode
