Why is my battery losing charge even though it is plugged in

Why is my Alcatel a30 losing charge when it's on the charger I'm super confused and worried please help

First, make sure you are using a good charger and cable.
Next open settings and go to battery, look at usage. See what is drawing it down.

The phone is probably using more current than it's designed to draw from the charger, so the net "charge" is negative - discharge. Use Ampere to see what it's using when the charger isn't plugged in, then what's happening when it's plugged in.
