Why is my battery no longer charging. I still have 42% life

[Android Central Question]

I have never gone past 15 %. Tablet still operates off the battery without problem. But at 54% it would not charge either with wireless charger nor USB cable to computer. USB port is dead now for 2 years Charger is ok as I could still charge an Asus I have using a receiver attached to Asus. Tried the reboot suggested by others. Saved some charge to try any suggestion.

Welcome to Android Central! Which ASUS tablet? I'm a bit confused -- the USB port is dead, but you can still charge it?
