Why is my camera freezing and photos turning into green lines?

Issue:
Open camera (stock) on the P9 and take photo, shows up in the gallery box in corner, if I exit camera photo is fine. The problem arises if I then try to take another photo straight after the first i.e. person didn't smile the camera won't take a photo and when I exit and re-enter camera (or gallery) the photo is just green lines.

I've played around with settings and changed memory card but am still getting the same issue, is there something I'm not doing setting wise or is it a fault with the camera?

Do not save photos directly to the memory card; save to internal memory and then move them later if you must.

Also, it is possible that your SD cards are not of the required speed class. See How to Buy an SD Card: Speed Classes, Sizes, and Capacities Explained for helpful info.

Thanks for the reply, but I should have said I tried that, first thing I did, I've had a similar issues before with memory cards.

Not exactly the same problem but I'm finding the camera incredibly slow to open and take photos. It's annoying when you're trying to take a quick photo and end up missing it because your waiting 10 seconds for the app to open then another 10 secs for the shutter to activate!
