Why is my D X Going hella Slow All of a sudden?

Ever since 2 days ago My phone has been lagging REALLY bad. I can type a whole text before any of the letters start appearing.. it's taking about 10 seconds to load my contacts list, and everything im doing has just been really laggy.. I cant describe it.. I have a task killer etc. and its been fine for about 3 months now until today.. Whats happening?

First off.. you're from Northern California aren't you?

second.. when was the last time you rebooted the device(popped battery out/back in)?

-Get rid of task killer. Does more harm then good.
-Reboot phone
-clear cache, power down, hold home button then power up while holding home buttong
-If those do not work then factory reset
