Why is my data connection unstable?

I've recently started using a Galaxy S6 Edge, and when I try to connect my PS3 to its WIFI hotspot, the Playstation Network will constantly disconnect.

Playstation Network isn't down or anything. The hotspot is set to never timeout. I have unlimited mobile data (3G) and my mobile network is set to 3G only. The problem is only with this phone.

I've tried accessing the WIFI power save mode in the service menu (*#0011#) but I can't access it for some reason and don't know if that's even applicable to the hotspot anyway.

Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Most unlimited data plans don't allow tethering (using a hotspot), so your carrier is probably causing the problem. You have a choice of paying for unlimited data or paying for tethering, but not both.

(And it's not unlimited full-speed data. After whatever the cutoff point is, your data speed goes way down - sometimes to dial-up speed.)

I'm using HSPA+ Tweaker atm and that's keeping it stable, but I really shouldn't have to use it. I have a cheap ZTE Blade A110 which tethers fine and all the other Galaxy phones I've owned have also been fine
